POLICIES OF THE HAZLET COTTAGES ON CARLYLE LAKE

  • We accept Visa, Master Card, and Discover.
    Must be 21 years of age or older to reserve. A credit card must be in the name of the person making the reservation. We cannot hold dates or a specific Cottage until a deposit has been made. A deposit is required at the time of booking, and the remainder of the balance must be paid in full including tax two weeks prior to the date of arrival. No refunds are given due to weather conditions or after entering the two week timeframe. A rescheduling fee may be applied to changes.
  • The Cottages require a 2 night minimum stay with a 3 night minimum stay on weekends during peak season with Friday and Saturday consecutive nights as two of the three night minimum stay. Peak season is from April 1 through October 31.
  • A credit card must be used at the time of check in for incidentals. Check out is at 10 AM. Any late check-ins or check outs must be arranged prior to arrival. Check in and checkout is to be made at the camp store in the Eldon Hazlet State Park. Quiet time begins at 11 PM.
  • The person making the reservation is responsible for everyone in their party and their actions. Children must be supervised at all times.
  • Everyone should be cautious of natural dangers around the park.
    • Swimming is not allowed along the shoreline adjacent to the Cottages.
    • In the winter months, do not walk out on the ice.
  • All Cottages are non-smoking. If smoking occurs inside the Cottages a professional cleaning fee will be charged for each contaminated unit.
  • Fish and hunted game are not to be cleaned inside the Cottages, a professional cleaning fee will be charged.
  • Pets are only allowed in our pet friendly units (13-20) for an additional fee.
  • We provide fire pits. Please use only wood in our fire pits (no trash).
  • No unlicensed motorized vehicles are allowed to be operated on the premises.
  • No vehicles or trailers are allowed on the grass.
  • No tents or campers are allowed in the Cottage area. Tents and campers allowed in the campground area only. Violators can be ejected from the Cottages immediately with no refund.
  • A HCCL permit must be clearly displayed on boats using the boat docks, violators may be towed at the owner’s expense. All removable items should be removed from the watercraft at night to prevent theft.
  • The Concessionaire at the Eldon Hazlet State Park is not responsible for any accidents or injuries due to or caused by actions of irresponsible or neglectful guests. The Concessionaire is also not responsible for damage or loss of guest’s property.
  • At the end of each stay we ask the guests to clean up after themselves and dispose of trash in a nearby dumpster.
  • We ask if our guests would mind giving us a review on internet sites such as trip advisor or other like sites. Thank you for staying with us. We look forward to your return for a future stay.
